This walk takes in the historic village of Marton with its Roman past.
Apart from the river, the landscape is dominated by arable farming and the power station cooling towers. Marton is located 5 miles south of Gainsborough on the A156. Mostly level walking, although it may be muddy and uneven in places. A detailed walk leaflet with directions, map and points of interest is available to download from the Lincolnshire County Council Countryside Access website.
