This walk by the River Trent begins in Sutton on Trent, a village that as its name suggests has a close relationship with the river.
As with many trentside villages, Sutton once had a thriving willow growing and basketry industry. The walk also takes you past The Holmes which is an ancient grazing land of over 200 hectares.
Mostly level walk with some short climbs on to the flood banks. Can be a little sticky under foot in wet weather.
