The Averham lych gate restoration project was officially opened on the 21st June by Councillor Sue Saddington – NCC Ward Councillor. This project has come about thanks to funding from NCC Local Improvement Scheme and Trent Vale Community Grant funding.
In February this year the gate for in danger of collapsing but thanks to fund raising efforts by George Binks from Averham and Kelham Parochial Church Council, the restoration has been able to take place. The Council have also raised funds for the repair of the Church bell which will be re installed later this year.
