Trent Vale theatre production is a great success at Lea Village Hall.

Kismet Theatre Company performing for Trent Vale

Trent Vale Vale's Tales production is a great success with many people turning out to see the Kismet Theatre Company performing the Riverside Writers production called 'Write on the River'.

Despite snowy conditions 49 people and 15 performers and technical team made it to Lea Village Hall on Saturday 11th February.

The work has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Vales Tales project, managed by Groundwork Cresswell for Trent Vale. Over the last 4 months the Riverside Writers have attended two writing workshops and carried out substantial research into some of Gainsborough's most interesting and lively characters. This series of stories was then put together into a booklet.

Kismet Theatre Company have taken the piece and transformed it into a vivid production incorporating movement, music, drama and chant. The absorbing 90 minute production brought to life these exceptional stories using the Trent as the River running through them.
