It gives me great pleasure to invite you all to the launch of the first Trent Vale Walking Festival this Friday 7th September at 12 noon on Fledborough viaduct.

To mark the start of the festival children from North Clifton and Normanton Primary Schools will meet in the middle of Fledborough viaduct to exchange Friendship rings made of local willow by Eaton Avenue Growers Association. The children will also be sharing maps they have made showing the places of interest in their village.

Partners, walk leaders and community members are invited to join the ceremony and bring a picnic to enjoy on the bridge.

If you would like to walk with the children from North Clifton please wait outside the school at 11am. If you would like to walk with the children from Normanton please wait at the start of the cycle route at 11.10am. Otherwise feel free to meet us on the bridge.

If you would like to join any of the 37 walks they will run until Monday 17th September with the final walk taking place at Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust's Besthorpe Nature Reserve.

Anyone who would like a programme can download them from http://www.trentvale.co.uk or contact Hester Kapur on 01636 675722 .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) leaving a postal address or email address.
