Trent Vale grants are helping to keep North Leverton Windmill in continuous use since it was built in 1813.

Funds of £2,000 from Trent Vale will match other funds raised by the North Leverton Windmill Trust to pay for much needed repairs to the grade 2* listed windmill. These include new sails, replacement of beams, repair of fan tail and a new set of grinding stones.

It is hoped that restoration will ensure the windmill continues to work for another two centuries, grinding flour and animal feeds. The building is also a focal point for the local community, hosting events and family fun days and provides a location for outdoor learning for subjects such as renewable energy, farming and food production.
